Bethany brings a variety of administrative and clinical experience to her role as the Executive Director including experience as a Pediatric Audiologist, Training Manager for Early Intervention and Help Me Grow at the Ohio Department of Health and Contract Manager in the private sector at a medical supply business.
Joan received her graduate degree in Audiology from the University of Akron in 1987. She came to the Center after working in an ENT office and after several years in a pediatric hospital.Joan loves working with adults with hearing loss.
Debra received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Iowa, Master of Science from the University of Arizona and her Doctor of Audiology from the University of Florida. She has been practicing as an audiologist in a variety of settings.
Kelly earned her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Previously employed in private hearing healthcare practice and in an ENT office, she has served both pediatric and adult patients.
Working in an audiologist’s office, Jennifer became interested in the field of Speech and Hearing. A coworker’s grandson was seeing a Speech Language Pathologist and it made such a difference. She wanted to do the same for other kids. She received her degree from OSU,and now works at an elementary school with kids with articulation, language, and fluency disorders as well as children with Autism.
Rhonda received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from The Ohio State University. She has worked in a wide variety of settings, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home care, rehabilitation centers, elementary schools, Autism units and preschools.
Katie received her Masters degree from the University of Cincinnati and works full-time for the Olentangy Local Schools. She decided to become a Speech Language Pathologist in high school in Boardman and never looked back. Katie lives in Delaware with family.
Katie received her graduate degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Akron. She came to the Center after working for two years as a speech language pathologist in the public schools with students in preschool through eighth grade.
Katie became interested in the field of SLP after witnessing the positive impact that it had on her younger brother many years ago. She, too, wanted to make a difference in a family’s life! Katie graduated with her Bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green and completed her Master’s at Ohio University.
Megan decided to pursue a career as a Speech Language Pathologist after her Dad had a stroke and received speech therapy. She is a graduate of the University of Toledo. She enjoys being a new Mom, providing individual consultations in wellness and running.
Amy received her Masters degree from the University of Northern Iowa and worked in the Iowa public schools before moving with her family to Ohio. She has many years of experience working with preschool and school-aged students on speech and language skills and supporting students and teachers in the area of assistive technology.
Sidney became interested in speech language pathology when she was in high school applying for colleges. She attended Ohio University for her Bachelors degree and Cleveland State University for her Masters in Speech Language Pathology. Sidney became “hooked” while observing a session during her coursework.
Holley chose the field of speech language pathology after working with students who had limited communication skills and challenging behaviors. She finds helping families create ways to improve communication skills often leads to a decrease in challenging behaviors. The philosophy that guides Holley’s practice is “small change with big impact”.
Laura received her Bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology at the University of Toledo and her Master’s degree from the University of Akron. She has worked in clinical and school settings with patients ranging from 6 months – 85 years.
Amanda first became interested in the field of Speech Language Pathology in high school when she observed an SLP working in an elementary school. Amanda received her graduate degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Akron.
Suzanne has been with the Center for eighteen years. She grew up in an insurance family and is a strong advocate for patients in order to maximize insurance benefits for services that are needed. Her hobbies include being the Delaware County’s 4-H Program dog trainer as well as dog rescue.
Kim enjoys attending her kids’ sports functions which include cross country meets, and band-marching, symphonic, and jazz. During her free time she enjoys gardening, sewing, and scrapbooking.
Doris is a Receptionist in the Audiology office in Delaware. She was a stay-at-home Mom raising two amazing children, and was involved in many of their activities. When they both graduated from high school, she returned to work. She enjoys meeting and helping people, so Delaware Speech and Hearing Center has been the perfect place to work. Doris also enjoys crafts, completing do-it-yourself projects and reading.
