Hearing Tests for Children and Adults in Central Ohio
Hearing issues may occur at any time. Some children are born with hearing loss, and benefit from early hearing testing to determine the cause, and what can be done to treat it. As we age, we lose many of the hairs within our ear that detect sound, and our hearing can start to struggle.
We make sure that your hearing is thoroughly tested, using some of the latest technologies that include:
- Diagnostic Otoacoustic Emissions Testing (DET) – This hearing testing equipment is used by audiologists to determine the specific sounds your ears can detect.
- Auditory Brainstem Response Testing (ABR) – This hearing testing equipment determines if there are issues with your hearing nerve, which sends information to your brain.
In addition to these sound tests and others, we can also test hearing aids using both traditional hearing aid testing and “Real Ear Measures” which determine what you are actually able to hear with your hearing aid in place.
