Delaware Speech & Hearing Center provides quality speech and language treatment, hearing healthcare, and education in order to improve communication skills.
We have been improving communication in Central Ohio for nearly 60 years. Our talented staff is licensed to provide the full range of speech pathology and audiology services, including the identification, assessment and treatment of speech, language, swallowing, hearing, and balance disorders.

Our staff is well trained, friendly, and supportive. Our audiologists all have advanced degrees from some of the most prestigious audiology training programs in the country, and are all licensed to practice in the state of Ohio. We understand your concerns, and we will answer any of your questions to ensure you feel informed through every step of the process to better communication.
Bethany brings a variety of administrative and clinical experience to her role as Executive Director, including experience as a pediatric audiologist, training manager for Early Intervention and Help Me Grow at the Ohio Department of Health, and a contract manager in the private sector at a medical supply business. Her guiding philosophies to quality clinical services include the importance of family-centered care and interdisciplinary team decision-making. Bethany has a master’s degree in audiology as well as a master’s degree in health services administration.
Erin earned her doctoral degree in audiology from The Ohio State University in 2014. She has experience working with both the adult and pediatric populations. Erin joined our team after working in a private practice setting and teaching as an adjunct faculty member at the university level. Erin loves working with hearing aid technology, and helping her patients reach their personal hearing goals through custom solutions. She especially enjoys working with patients who have tinnitus (ringing in the ears).
Debra earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Iowa, her Master of Science from the University of Arizona, and her Doctor of Audiology from the University of Florida. She has been practicing as an audiologist in a variety of settings, including a university clinic, ENT office, pediatric hospital, public schools, and private practices. Debra has many friends and family members with hearing loss and brings a personal understanding of the challenges hearing loss has on communication.
Donna earned her master’s degree in audiology from the University of Tennessee and brings over 20 years of experience working with children and adults in many settings, including ENT offices, private practices, and assisted living communities. Donna came into the audiology field as a sign language interpreter. She interpreted an audiology class and found it interesting, so she decided to go to graduate school to become an audiologist. The most intriguing part of her job is the creative problem solving she does every day by testing people and figuring out the best way to help them hear better.
Rhonda earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from The Ohio State University. She has worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home care, rehabilitation centers, elementary schools, Autism units, and preschools. Rhonda joined our team over 15 years ago. She developed the product Word-Flips which is published through Super Duper Inc. This is a great therapy tool for children with limited speech, unintelligible speech, or childhood apraxia of speech.
Laura received her bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology at the University of Toledo and her master’s degree from the University of Akron. She has worked in clinical and school settings with patients ranging from 6 months to 85 years old. She has years of specialized experience working with people with hearing loss, and enjoys helping children and young adults.
Ciara became interested in speech language pathology after volunteering at a day camp for children with autism while she was in middle school. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and completed her master’s degree at Bowling Green State University. The most inspiring part of her job is seeing progress children make and when they have “aha” moments.
Therese earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The Ohio State University. She joined her sister in the field of speech-language pathology, and has experience in the areas of receptive-expressive language delays, articulation/phonological disorders, and working with children who have Autism or Down Syndrome. Communication is the foundation of so many other life skills and her favorite part of her job is watching her clients gain confidence as they meet their goals.
Taylor earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The Ohio State University. Her pediatric experience includes preschool, elementary, and high school settings, as well as pediatric outpatient clinical settings. Her favorite part of her position at DSHC is working closely with families and empowering children through communication.
Katie received her bachelor’s degree at the University of Toledo and her master's degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Findlay. Katie loves working with children and their families to help them grow and maximize their skills to live their life to the fullest. She is passionate about leading with child based play while integrating motor planning components and sensory input to teach skills.
Rhianna is a graduate of the University of Toledo. She has worked in the field of patient care for the last 7 years and has always had a passion for helping others. As a certified Audiology Aide, Rhianna enjoys helping patients maintain their hearing aids by providing instruction and doing minor repairs in the office when needed.
Erin has a Bachelor's degree in French from the Ohio State University. She has worked in the nonprofit field for over twenty years including co-founding and co-leading an all volunteer community arts organization. In addition, she has six years experience in patient care and healthcare settings. Erin loves working with patients and their families and seeing them achieve their therapy and communication goals.
Volunteer professionals from our community give their time, energy, talent, and finances to further the mission of Delaware Speech & Hearing Center by serving on our Board of Directors.
Our Board of Directors is an active group made up of volunteers from all parts of the Delaware community. We are looking for new board members! Board meetings are held once a month, and participation is also required for several special events per year. We are also an approved provider for the Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps (BCMH), the Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities (DCBDD), Medicaid, Medicare, and State of Ohio Workers Compensation.
