Multi-Frequency TympanometryImage

The Consolidated Electric Foundation People's Fund and the William Street United Methodist Church Foundation donated a total of $7,970.00 to pay for a new multi-frequency tympanometer.  This important equipment uses new technology to evaluate hearing function in infants.

As a provider for Ohio's Universal Infant Hearing Program, Delaware Speech & Hearing Center audiologists screen the hearing of every baby born at Grady Hospital.  Infants who require further assessment will now be tested with the best available technology thanks to these organizations

Pension Protection Act Extended

TAX-FREE IRA Charitable Rollovers:

The Pension Protection Act of 2006 cotains a IRA Charitable Rollover provision that allows people ages 70 1/2 or older to exclude up to $100,000 from their gross income, through tax year 2008, for cash distributions made directly from an individual's IRA to a qualified charity.

This could be the best way for you to support Delaware Speech & Hearing Center programs, if:

  • You are at least age 70 1/2 AND
  • You do not need the additional income necessitated by our minimum required distribution, OR
  • Your charitable gifts already equal 50% of your adjusted gross income, so you do not benefit from an income tax, charitable deduction for additional gifts, OR
  • You are subject to the 2% rule that reduces your itemized deductions, OR
  • You do not itemize deductions.
